Jake Morrison wakes up in the middle of the woods with blood all over him, but it’s not his blood. He has lost memory of the last twelve hours. A dead stranger laid beside him. For the past three months, Jake has been blacking out. It all started after something attacked him during a camping trip. But this is the first time he has woken up next to a dead body. As Jake tries to dig deep into what’s happening to him, he discovers that he’s not the only one experiencing the blackouts. Other youth in his neighborhood at Oregon town are blacking out as well, and on the same nights as he does. They wake up with mud stains on their clothes, blood on their hands, and having no memory of what had happened before during which they blacked out. However, Jake suddenly starts to remember flashes: He runs on all fours (both hands and legs), the taste of blood lingers in his mouth, and somehow, he’s excited about the prospect of chasing preys. Something is changing inside him. It’s also happening to all of them. Then he meets Claire, a mysterious woman who says she can help the youth stop the transformation, but only if they take action before the next full moon, which is just six days away. Her methods are dangerous, and she’s not to be trusted. To make things worse, someone else is out there who knows what they are and is hunting them down with silver bullets. Now Jake has a terrible choice to make. It’s either he tries to stay human and die one day or accept what he’s becoming and will live as a monster. But deep down, a part of him doesn’t want to stop the change at all.
