As time went on, Ama’s friend, Chloe, helped Liam and advised him on how to approach Ama in other for him to get her attention. ​The story follows Ama's emotional collapse when Liam's persistent, non-threatening care shatters her defenses. A crisis point is reached when Ama, drunk and isolated, suffers a physical collapse. Liam, forced to intervene, finds Ama unconscious, exposed, and bleeding.
